Rev. Joseph W. Hedden, Jr. Joseph Hedden was born in 1971 in Rochester, New York. He left Rochester in 1990 to attend St. Vincent College, Latrobe, Pennsylvania. For the academic year 1992-1993, he studied in the Religious Studies department of the University of Leeds (England). He graduated from St. Vincent in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and a minor in Religious Studies. From there, he attended Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master’s of Divinity in 1997.
Ordained by the Pittsburgh Association of the United Church of Christ in 1997, Joseph was called to be pastor of Tabor United Church of Christ in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Tabor is the oldest congregation in the city of Lebanon, with roots back to 1760.
Joseph is married and has two daughters. The Hedden family has recently returned from an exchange year with the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland, Germany (September 1, 2003 to August 31, 2004). In addition to traveling, Joseph enjoys reading spy and mystery novels, skiing, cooking and hiking.
